Agha elaborated on his position saying that Pakistan beating India in an ODI World Cup game would be monumental. Then he paused and added that if India defeats Pakistan in the tournament, that endeavor will become meaningless. He argues that there are far bigger fish to fry. “It is a great feeling knowing that Pakistan is hosting the Champions Trophy. There is something special about the country hosting an ICC event. “I am looking forward to the Champions Trophy-Pakistan. If the ICC event flag comes to Pakistan, it’s special. As a local from Lahore, it’s my childhood fantasy to win the ICC trophy and bring it home. The Pakistan team has the ability to win,” said Salman in the PCB Podcast.

On being asked about his feelings regarding the appointment, he confessed that he is enjoying cricket as well as the new responsibility.
