The West Indies’ first victory in Pakistan in thirty-four years is powered by a warrican fifer

Jomel Warrican recorded a strikeout in the second inning to help his team win.

Jomel Warrican spearheaded Pakistan’s annihilation on the third day of the second Test match in Multan when he took a whopping five wickets, leading the West Indies to a historic 120-run victory.

This win now means that the two-match series is drawn at 1-1. On Monday, Warrican took 4 of the six wickets that Pakistan lost and helped the subcontinental team slump from 76 for 4 to 133 all out in slightly over an hour, marking a new low for the West Indies team. This was the first time that they were able to win a game in the country after 34 years.

Pakistan had the requirement of 178 runs to seal the series while the West Indies had a more appropriate target of six wickets to clinch the series. It only took Kevin Sinclair 3 balls to have an impact on the game when he dismissed Saud Shakeel with a leading edge to slip. Without a run being scored, the Pakistan team lost their second wicket off the morning when their nightwatch, Kashif Ali, got bowled off the second ball from Warrican.

The new batters, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha, initiated the innings by playing aggressively to relieve the pressure imposed by the West Indies spinners.

The partnership of 39 runs came to an end when Salman fell victim to an LBW by Warrikan in the over following the slammed stumping appeal. Shortly after, Rizwan met his demise when he was bowled through the gate which ultimately sealed the fate of West Indies cricketers. You can Visit Laserbook For Latest Cricket Update.

Mohammed Ali commenced his scoring by hitting a six against Gudakesh Motie before being caught on the next delivery by Warikan at mid-off. Sajid Khan was guilty of dragging an inside edge to his stumps in the next over which gave 5 wickets to Warikan and enables West Indies to finally break the winning drought.
