Chakaravarthy Varun is set to join the Indian squad in the upcoming 3-match ODI series against England and had been a part of the team’s preparations in Nagpur on Tuesday. Although the spinner wasn’t included in India’s champions trophy squad, he served with distinction in the shortest format of the game and supporting Chahar’s claim of his recent stellar performance.
His prolific performance in the IPL when KKR won the championship match secured him a spot in the Indian T20I after he bagged 21 wickets in the IPL 2024. The fantasy never came to an end for the Indian spinner as he seized the Player of the Series title for the recently concluded T20I series, dominating the English batters throughout the series.

Samson had entered the T20I series following a purple patch where he scored three centuries in five matches. Against England, however, he found it difficult to cope with the short ball and managed to score only 51 runs in the five scheduled games. Nonetheless, there is hope he will be ready to suit up for the IPL where he will once again captain the Rajasthan Royals. Its all cricket update provided by 1xbetfair
