The BCCI did not announce any changes from the ODI World Cup 2023, other than Jasprit Bumrah. He was selected in the squad, but there is no clarity on whether he would be fit enough. Yashasvi Jaiswal was added as a backup opener while Mohammed Siraj was one of the key players omitted from the squad.
India’s Expected Line-Up For ICC Champions Trophy
Open the batting with Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma, while the unit will the bat in the following order – Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Shreyas Iyer has also been included in the squad and will compete with Rishabh Pant, but considering Pant’s aesthetics and a left-hand bias, Iyer will be on the sidelines. The same goes for Yashasvi Jaiswal as well, who would rather be sitting idle on the bench than Gill’s batting average going down drastically. Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, and Washington Sundar should be the three all-rounders, while the lone slow bowler will be Kuldeep Yadav. Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh should be the new ball bowlers. Bumrah’s situation is a bit foggy, and it’s quite possible that India won’t want to jeopardize him in the group matches, even if he is fit enough to participate in the show piece. You can visit 1xbetfair for more cricket update
