Highlights of the clash between Abhishek Sharma and the Indian squad’s stats for the fifth and final T20I held at Wankhede have caught the viewers attention.

135 runs was achieved by Abhishek Sharma as his personal best in T20 International surpassing Shubman Gill’s 126 runs against New Zealand in Ahmedabad in 2023. 150 runs – Defeating England by 150 runs is the second best defeat margin by any Full Member side in T20Is by runs. It comes after New Zealand’s 168 run defeat against India in Ahmedabad in 2023. The previous biggest defeat for England by that margin was in a match against India in Colombo RPS in 2012 and versus South Africa in Southampton in 2022, when England lost by 90 runs.

England’s 10.3 overs is the second lowest score ever recorded by an International Full Member side in a T20 match, only ahead of the 9.3 overs posted by Bangladesh against New Zealand. The overs played during that match were severely cut down due to raining occurring during the game being played in Auckland in 2021 and could only be played for 10 overs. The previous record of an uninterrupted T20 match standing at 11.5 overs is held by West Indies against England in 2019 as well as against Afghanistan in 2024.

In a single match, Abhishek’s 135 runs have surmounted any opposition total as England could only reach 97 runs.
