In preparation for the ODI series against England, Kohli’s name is already trending as he aims to become the fastest batsman to score 14,000 runs in ODIs, a feat which would add another achievement to his ever-growing cabinet. His 14,000 run target makes him a close second after the master blaster himself, Sachin Tendulkar, who accomplished this milestone in February of 2006 against Pakistan, one of the greatest matches India has played even though they lost by 7 runs because of the notorious Duck rule.

Virat Kohli struggling for form
Kohli would be hoping to restore some form ahead of the Champions Trophy. He certainly did not cover himself in glory during the Ranji Trophy after over a decade away, as he inexplicably fell for just beans against Railways’ Himanshu Sangwan. While Kohli did put a century on the board in the second innings of the Perth Test against Australia, he has also greatly struggled to score in other matches. 1xbetfair to provide cricket latest update
