There has been buzz surrounding the BCCI’s formal announcement of the full IPL schedule for the remaining games. However, there were no formal statements released. Interestingly, it has been reported that the board shared details of the important games to the franchises. While the board has not announced it formally, it has been said that the finals will be hosted in the city of the reigning champions, with the finals being played on the 25th of May at Eden gardens.
During the SGM held in Mumbai on January 12, BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla had previously suggested that the IPL would start on March 23, which does not seem to be the case now as the BCCI appears to have changed the schedule. Sources reveal that the decision to begin the season on a Saturday was made to appease the broadcasters and that the board has accepted it. The complete schedule is expected in a day or two.
In addition to the ten regular centers Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mullanpur, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad, this season will also feature Guwahati and Dharamsala. Guwahati is joining the IPL map immediately with the Rajasthan Royals who have selected the Northeast city as their second home venue and will play there on March 26 and 30. The Royals will face off against the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Chennai Super Kings in the two evening matches at Guwahati.
Dharamsala will again host a few home matches of the Punjab Kings like it did last season. It is being said that the Himachal city may get three games this season. Hyderabad will host the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator, while Qualifier 2 and the final, as we already said, will be held in Kolkata. For more read latest update click 1xbetfair
